We have developed a solution which does all this, along with additional features that will do even more to make the fans happy and proud to use the Club‘s e- ticketing system.
We worked with the Club to clarify the ticket buying process and identified opportunities to streamline the transaction, while giving relevant information that fans would value.
For instance, season ticket holders will be familiar with the ‘when Saturday comes‘ feeling of anticipation. It‘s particularly strong among this group,
because they enjoy the certainty of knowing where their seat will be.
We wanted match day ticket holders to have that feeling too. So we created great visuals of The Valley to support fans‘ choice of individual seats in every part of the stadium.
We tested the user experience at several stages of the design, ensuring that the testing group had access to the site on a diverse range of devices.
We also made use of the latest HTML5 collective technologies and AJAX
for data communications and page updates. Why? These are the tools that make our ticketing system work and feel like a fast, responsive desktop app.
A supporter buying tickets on a smartphone might imagine he or she is using an easy to use app with great visual features, while his or her friend sitting at a desk top PC sees a ticketing service offering all the functionality of a well-designed website.
The system is part of the Club‘s on-going web development plans for 2014.
