Mark Smith Estate Agents is a family-owned, independent estate agency in Whitstable, Kent. They came to us because they knew social media presented an opportunity for them to compete on a level playing field with larger, networked agencies. They wanted to test out the benefits of social media, but didn`t know where to begin.

We worked with our client to identify their goals for social media, ensuring these were closely aligned to their business goals and their planned activity. We provided guidance on the potential platforms and tools that would support them in building a relevant, targeted following on Twitter and Facebook.

We also analysed their target market to assess their competitors online presence, clarify benchmarks and identify the nature of engagement and conversations that would enable us to elevate their social

media presence from being one of many, to one with influence.

Content creation is critical for any successful social media campaign. We kept in close communication with our client to ensure our content was relevant, localised and communicated their individual personalities.

We became part of their team - sharing in their enthusiasms and seeking out opportunities to build rapport with local people through Twitter and Facebook.

Making a success of social media does require patience and a willingness to build relationships over time - so we built in regular review opportunities to our campaign.
