We provide Finlays with new software development, ongoing support of existing systems and, just as importantly, we provide support and repair to the legacy IFS databases and systems. We give 24-hour support to the business, 365 days a year, in order to ensure that all packaging, loading and delivery processes are accurately and reliably managed, tracked and recorded.
Our development of new systems is principally focused on supporting the business with streamlining its packing and distribution systems. While this means developing source code, it is not a desk job.
We take direct responsibility for testing the user experience. In this instance, that means spending several days with staff in packaging and distribution hubs to understand the detail of the workflow. We created a successful system that communicates accurate, reliable data both up and down the line - even on sites with limited bandwidth - and can be easily operated by people wearing protective gloves and working at speed.
Since the initial launch, we have rewritten the system to include new handheld devices, and continue to work closely with Finlays to support them
with on-going development and refinement of their business systems including their seasonal delivery systems for a leading supermarket‘s Christmas hamper service, incorporating new technology and improved ways of working.
Finlays is responsible for the safe delivery of millions of Mother’s Day bouquets and Christmas hampers, as well as our regular 5-a-day fruit and vegetables. Quite frankly, it is a privilege to be part of the team that makes all these celebrations and mealtimes possible. .
